What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and why is vital to your business now and into the future?

Have you ever heard of a small little website called Google? I’m sure that I don’t need to go into great detail about the significance of Google or the impact on the world these days. It truly has baked itself into our everyday lives and it’s because of that where a new field of work has spawned Search Engine Optimization. The digital real estate atop Google on highly competitive keyword searches is worth its weight in gold. The goal of every website is to be at the top those searches to hopefully get a large amount of traffic is gardeners. There are three main factors that go into how Google determines the value of your website and it pages. The first and least important is the on-page optimization of the website. From navigation structure to speed of the website there are a ton of small factors that Google uses to determine how good your website is. That said, the next more important piece that Google is looking for is your content on your site. They are looking for relevant content that applies to the keywords you are wanting to be found for and there is an art to doing that. Writing your content naturally with the purpose of educating the end-users and pitching them at the same time just like we are doing on our site is the strategy we tell all our clients however the caveat is that it needs to be completely unique and not copied from anywhere on the internet….Google knows.

The last and by far most important factor that goes into getting our clients to the top of Google is the off-page strategies that we have in place. From a high level, we develop a custom backlinking strategy for our clients that is implemented relentlessly month after month in the effort to signal to Google that multiple high-value websites all over the internet are talking about your company and your website. 2. Website Audit and Competitor Analysis
We conduct a thorough website audit and competitor analysis to get a sound understanding of you, your competitors, your industry, what you sell and the difficulty of getting you to that top spot on Google. Some of the parts we look at on your site are mobile responsiveness, navigation, user friendliness, performance, call-to-actions, content, Google indexability (made that up) and so on. For your competitor analysis, we check out who are the top players on Google and dissect how they got there. It helps with how we develop your strategy to take those top spots.

3. Keyword Research
Now that we know who you are, where you do business and who your competitors are, we now turn our focus to the keywords that are going to get you to the top. We go through a simple process with you to drive out all the potential keywords someone would use to search for your business. From that large list, we start applying for real numbers directly from Google to see what the best ones are to focus on. We distil that list down to a pack of 5 since that is our base package for all our new clients.

4. New or Existing Website
Typically we know right off the bat if this is going to be a new site build or upgrade. For those clients that are on the fence because they spent a bunch money on their current site, we will put together a proposal for both, a new site or upgrade their current site. Please note that this is not our main focus at White Hat, our sole purpose is to get Google to like you so they will send as much traffic as possible to your site so you can make more sales.

5. Benchmarking and Reporting
Now the fun begins. Before we lift a finger on the SEO we first set a baseline of where you are on Google. The purpose of this is to mark the starting line for this amazing new adventure we’re about to embark on.

One month after that we will send you a report showing where all your targeted keywords are on Google in contrast with your original baseline. We feel that this “cold hard numbers” type of report sent to you month after month will demonstrate the value White Hat Marketing can provide you.

6. Strategizing and Consulting
